After a long day on the trails, it’s such a joy when your gear just ‘works’; when it perfectly does that one job you need it to. Which is something the Big Agnes Copper Spur has long been celebrated for. Lightweight, packable, easy to set up and remarkably sturdy, this tent just ‘works’ — wherever and however you use it. And now, for those who want a little extra room, this XL version of the Copper Spur comes with a redesigned, non-tapered rectangular body that gives noticeably more space. Ideal for two people and kit, this 3P version of the Copper Spur XL also comes with two doors for versatile access, two roomy vestibules for plenty of storage, as well as walking-pole-compatible external doors for turning your porch into the world’s best veranda.

Big Agnes is a small, independent US outdoor brand out of Steamboat Springs, Colorado – a small ski-town that we’ve never visited but which we like to imagine is full of mountain-loving, trail-hiking outdoorsy types. That would make sense, since the company makes some of the best ultralight backpacking gear around, including the award-winning , and tents. It is kit that has clearly been designed by a gang of folks who love sleeping in the dirt just as much as we do here at WildBounds.
Oh, and if you’re still wondering where the heck that name Big Agnes comes from, we did try to find out. Depending on who you talk to, it’s either an affectionate tribute to a legendary truck drivin’ mountain mama, or a 12,000 foot peak in the Mount Zirkel Wilderness. We kinda like the first one better.
